Use Jamf School Content Caching to download files that will be used by multiple students to one dedicated device in the school’s network. Users who then download files and programs do so by downloading them from the dedicated device that is designated as content server within Jamf School.
Avoid slow internet connections when everyone in class needs to download the same file at the same time.Content Caching
Installation
Install “Jamf School Content Caching” to the Mac you wish to use for caching.
Enable Content Caching
Enable Content Caching in your Organisation settings.
Select the Mac device
Select the Mac device in the Jamf School Management System and configure where you want to store items, and enter in the Public IP address.
Finish
And that’s it! Your school is already using Content Caching!
